Shift Pattern: 4on 4 off 07:00-19:00 (flexibility required)

At Evri, we never stand still. We work hard, make quick decisions and deliver against ambitious goals every day. With continued growth and our exciting rebrand from Hermes to Evri, now is the perfect time to join us and help shape the future of our transport operation.

We’re currently looking for a Transport Shift Manager (Days) to join our Rugby Hub, playing a key role in leading our transport operation and ensuring parcels move safely, compliantly and on time through our network.

We are passionate about our people, our planet and our communities—and we’re looking for leaders who share that passion.

As Transport Shift Manager, you’ll take full accountability for the performance of your shift, leading teams through a fast-paced, high-volume transport operation.

Interested in joining? Take a look at the below to understand what you'll be doing

  • Ensuring Transport Supervisors operate effectively, managing despatch activities and completing timely, high-quality driver debriefs
  • Managing a multi-channel transport operation, despatching parcels daily through the primary network during peak periods and overseeing weekly B2C collections
  • Supporting the Transport Operations Manager in developing and delivering peak plans aligned to forecasted volumes, automation changes, financial targets and resourcing needs
  • Leading by example to create a high-performance, people-focused culture through strong employee engagement, regular 1-2-1s, performance reviews and team meetings
  • Taking full accountability for Health & Safety and quality audits, including risk assessments and safe systems of work within the Hub
  • Owning overall shift performance across compliance, service levels, H&S and employee engagement
  • Producing detailed end-of-shift reports, root-causing KPI failures and providing evidence-based action plans to drive continuous improvement.

Still interested? Great news! Here are the core capabilities we are looking for

  • CPC National qualification
  • Strong knowledge of transport operations
  • PC literacy with the ability to produce detailed reports and analyse performance data
  • A full, current UK driving licence
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and remain calm and decisive in a pressured, time-critical environment

If you’re a driven transport leader who thrives on responsibility, enjoys leading teams at pace and wants to be part of a business that’s going places, we’d love to hear from you.

At Evri, we know we only grow if our people do too. That’s why we’re committed to building a truly inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can bring – and be – their whole authentic selves. We’re on a journey to better represent the customers we serve around the UK. We’re committed to removing barriers and ensure that each person at Evri is valued for who they are, and what they bring to our business.

We’re excited for the future. Let’s deliver it together.

Every parcel, every person, every place – every delivery made for you.

Evri is leading the way in creating responsible delivery experiences for everyone, everywhere. And we’re doing that by offering the most convenient way to send, receive and return parcels without costing the earth.

Whether it’s a customer sending a present to a friend, a marketplace trader shipping in bulk or a major retailer such as John Lewis, asos or Next, we’ve got it covered. With our team of 30,000 couriers, thousands of local ParcelShops and a growing network of hubs and depots across the country, we safely get parcels from A to everywhere.

And it’s not just customers and retailers who trust us. We’ve won loads of industry awards over the past few years, including gongs for IT, innovation and our green fleet.

But we wouldn’t be the biggest dedicated parcel delivery company in the UK without amazing people. We’re a friendly, ambitious and diverse bunch, united by a passion for delivering the best customer experience. We have great opportunities throughout the business, so take a look to see where you might fit in. We can’t wait to hear from you.
