Are you passionate about turning data into a strategic asset? Do you thrive on building strong governance foundations and influencing stakeholders across an organisation? If so, Evri has an exciting opportunity for a Data Governance Lead to drive our data standards, quality, and accountability to the next level.

About the Role

As our Data Governance Lead, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping and embedding Evri’s group‑wide Data Governance strategy. You’ll create the frameworks, standards, and operating models that ensure our data is accurate, consistent, protected and used responsibly — supporting everything from day‑to‑day operations to analytics, innovation, and regulatory compliance.

Working closely with teams across Technology, Legal, Privacy, Information Security, and the wider business, you’ll champion best practice, drive adoption of governance processes, and influence a culture where data is valued, trusted, and well‑managed.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact and help elevate data governance maturity across one of the UK’s largest parcel delivery organisations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Defining and delivering a group‑wide Data Governance strategy aligned to Evri’s goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Establishing and embedding key data governance roles such as Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Custodians.
  • Developing and communicating data policies, standards, and quality frameworks across the organisation.
  • Leading initiatives to improve data accuracy, completeness, and integrity; driving root‑cause analysis and remediation for systemic issues.
  • Collaborating with Privacy, Legal, Security, Technology and business functions to ensure compliance with GDPR and other data regulations.
  • Creating and managing data governance and quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Promoting data responsibility through stakeholder engagement, training, and education.
  • Continuously improving governance processes, tooling, and data ownership accountability.
  • Providing mentoring and guidance to the Data Governance Analyst.
